Yellowstone: The Devil’s Volcano

1

Armageddon Below: The Extinction Volcano

SEEING THROUGH THE EARTH!

Eternal youths, gals and guys, we learn how to see through the earth using the magical powers of quantum electrodynamics. The images shown here are made from a light plane a thousand feet above the main geyser basin at Yellowstone National Park. The red hot lava beds vent their fury five to fifty miles and more beneath the surface of the park. The lava superheats the aquifer beneath the earth and the boiling water, under great pressure, spouts to make Yellowstone’s thousands of geysers.

I erect myself at the exact point
where knowledge touches madness,
and I can erect no safety rail.
—BALZAC

Pilot Mike Collins make dizzying turns at 1500 feet above the Old Faithful Geyser Basin in Yellowstone National Park. The geysers and fumaroles below our Cessna 172 aircraft show little evidence of the red and white hot lava in the raging volcano far below the earth. The Yellowstone Caldera is the volcanic caldera and super volcano located in Yellowstone National Park. The major features of the caldera measure about 34 by 45 miles (55 by 72 km).

The caldera formed during the last of three super eruptions over the past 2.1 million years . . . the Lava Creek eruption was 640,000 years ago (which created the Yellowstone Caldera and the Lava Creek Tuff). The volcano may erupt again soon. An eruption of this gigantic volcano will cause the extinction of much or all the life on earth.

A 10-foot layer of ash would spread up to 1,000 miles away, leaving two-thirds of the country completely uninhabitable. Once the plume rises high into the stratosphere, the released sulfuric gases would mix with the Earth’s water vapor, which could launch the country and other parts of the globe into a “volcanic winter.”

A study published in GSA Today identified three fault zones that future eruptions are most likely to be centered on. Two of those areas are associated with lava flows aged 174,000–70,000 years, and the third area is a focus of present-day seismicity.

I fire my quantum digital camera again and again, in a state of no-mind, enraptured by the scene, entranced by a metaphysical sense that something gigantic is going on far below. The geysers spout fountains of mists and colors in the sunlight. We fly round and round over the invisible volcano whose red and white hot lava spumes reach deep, deep down into the earth..

My pilot friend Mike Collins, the aircraft’s owner, flies out of Jackson Hole Airport, close to
the Grand Tetons. A skilled and experienced pilot with over twenty years of flying his Cessna aircraft,
I trust him absolutely. To do virtually aerobatic over the volcano turns over a scene demands a pilot who instinctively feels the limits of his aircraft and won’t tear the wings off. Know who you fly with, enjoy the ride and live.

Mike banks and turns sharply over the huge and vividly colored Grand Prismatic Hot Spring to give me a downward view. He knows that I need the necessary sudden sharp maneuvers, pulling extra g’s of gravity to stay close to the subject. A little way beyond Grand Prismatic,a grey-brown series of swirls twisting out from a geyser catch my eye. Something, intuition or more, compels me to make a series of images of the area. Mike banks, and banks again, sending his Cessna into a series of spirals to keep me over the view I photograph into the fiery heart of the gigantic volcano and lava beds beneath the miles long Old Faithful geyser basin.

In the light of quantum physics and holographic universe theory, it now seems clear that the red and white hot lava beds hundreds of feet below boil the aquifer making enormous pressure that force the steam through the earth and into view as geysers. The geysers contain holograms of the lava and volcano below. I photographed the burning lava beds embedded in the holograms with my quantum camera. I had no idea of what I was doing or recording, no-mind took over.

The images of the sprawling lava beds appear on my website http://www.harveylloyd.com. These hidden plumes of lava descend many miles beneath the surface of the earth into ‘hot spots. The interior of the volcano seethes with violent lava heated by the core.

I have seen so many eruptions in the last 20 years that I don’t care if I die tomorrow.”

Secrets of Eternal Youth is a Kerouacian road trip through the mental universe with a merry prankster at the wheel. Lloyd is Coyote, the Trickster, who brings us the fire of imagination that is able to see the quantum foam of the universe in the dancing of Jackson Pollack—that allows us to feel the wild excitement of being alive. Secrets is an explosion of metaphor reprograms our synapses, stretches our minds, and reminds us that we are all youthful poets.

“Make it distant, difficult and dangerous, was the motto of Cooper Schoedsack Productions who made the original King Kong movie. It has been my motto as well for over a million and a half miles of adventure that will never end. Secrets of Eternal Youth is a shout to shake the world, a treasure house, a virtual cosmic library and colorful tirade about everything you can encounter in this life. It is food for our plastic brains which will keep them forever young.

Eternal Youths, guys and gals, SECRETS is an “out of the box” anarchistic freedom manifesto, filled with adventures encountered during adventures around the globe with my cameras. It is bursts out with many friendly, heartwarming encounters with indigenous peoples around the world . It explodes with the wise works and words of creative and original writers, artists and poets . It rambles from continent to continent, from shamans and magicians to artists, poets, physicists, alchemists and metaphysics. This is not, a “how to book” Eternal youths, sisters and brothers and sister, because the only way to stay young is to just do it!
