BIG IDEAS IN SCIENCE, ART, AND SOCIETY

Hello fellow space-time travelers. My name is Roger Jones. I am coming to you from steamy downtown Pensacola, Florida. It is 7:30 in the morning in late June, so you can see the morning sun streaming through the east-facing windows behind me. This is the first post on this channel, TheX-Press channel, so I thought I would let you in on what we plan to do here.

I am a scientist and I am associated with an organization called the Global X Network. This is a coalition of scientific research centers with scientists from Austria, Japan, UK, Finland, Germany, the United States, China, Korea, Colombia, Mexico, and a few places that I have forgotten. These scientists are obsessed with understanding the future of society.

In addition to being a research consortium, the Global X Network has commercial arms. TheX-Press is the publishing arm of GXN and its companies. I will put links to all these entities in the comments section.

We will be talking about Big Ideas in Science, Art, and Society on this channel. We will be discussing the perplexing changes that are occurring in human fertility around the world, where is the boundary between art and non-art, is it possible to crowdsource a policy analysis tool, what is a book in the 21st century, what does thinking have to do with the properties of water, how do we manage through extreme societal events or X-Events, what happens to capitalism when you can get anything you want on the internet and it is free.

We would like to publish one big idea a week, but we will see how it goes.

Okay, I will keep this short and go to work on getting the first big idea onto this channel so that you can see what I am talking about. Subscribe to this channel below so that our world-lines can intersect again. From steamy downtown Pensacola, happy journey.
